Up to four players enter the secret crypt. Open locked doors and crates. Equip yourself with tools and weapons. Enter the coffin-chambers and defeat monsters. Use your cryptslave for tactical help. Collect five different treasures and you'll be the winner!
Cryptmaster is an exciting adventure-themed game for 2-4 players ages 10 and up. The game-board consists of 12 parts which can be assembled in a new order for each game. By doing so you'll have a completely new maze and challenge every time. Put the game-pieces on the marked spots on the game-board for crates, doors, keyholes and coffins. During the game those will be discovered and get new excitement every time. Your task is to find five different treasures with your cryptmaster and your cryptslave and bring them back to your treasure-chamber. Since all player try to accomplish this task, it's not as easy as it sounds.
You wander around in the crypt and soon discover the first closed doors. If you have the right tools or keys with you, you may pass. In the boxes you can find various items: Tools, keys for opening the doors, weapons, armor for fighting monsters and, of course, hearts to replenish your life-energy. You put those items on your player's card.
Soon you'll find the first coffin. To get the precious treasures, you first have to fight the monster inside. Take your weapons and fight. Thanks to the new fighting-system which doesn't need dice or complicated rules, you'll soon be the "rightful" owner of some treasures. Or maybe not? Here you may use your cryptslave: Let him carry important items for you. Or open doors. Or check the coffins without fighting. The cryptslave is faster than his master, but to weak to fight. So make good use of both their features to be the first to reach your goal.
Unlike other fantasy-games, Cryptmaster is very family-friendly. The rules are easy to understand, there is no complicated fighting-system and no character-sheets. But still you experience your adventure in a fantasy-world which is new with every game. Thanks to the special system, Cryptmaster is always exciting, no matter if two, three or four players compete. And if you put two complete games together, you can even play with eight people!
The new "Director's Cut" version of the game has a completely new movement-system which enables you to walk around much faster than before. The cryptslave now also has new features like opening doors, checking out crates and coffins, to save the cryptmaster time. Since the cryptslave can move faster, there are more strategic possibilities. You can even fight other players to steal some of their items or treasures. Plan your path carefully or you'll fall into your opponents hands! "The Director's Cut" is a completely new game-system. If you already have the older version, you can simply order the new instruction-booklet.
